我的朋友們曾問過我為什麼想要成為一名老師。其實原因很簡單，就是感興趣，所以都說興趣是我們最好的老師。
研究生期間我曾在美國一所學校擔任中文老師，那段時間讓我受益匪淺，通過不斷觀課、備課、講課，讓我真切領悟到成為一位老師的魅力。在教學的過程中，你能夠在某一瞬間感受到學生有了明顯的進步並有了自己的思考、判斷能力，正是這一瞬間特別吸引我，也是讓我想要繼續成為一名老師的理由和原因。我認為教育是一個長期的過程，知識固然重要，但也並不是一味地給學生傳授知識。作為老師這一角色，我更希望學習成為一個引導者，讓學生在學會主動學習知識的同時，也能對生活產生自己的思考。
香港是一個獨特的地方，這裡更加包容更加多元，在這一片土地上你能夠發現源遠流長的東方文化和獨具特色的西方文化共同並存且融合甚好，教育亦是如此，期待東、西文化在融匯的過程中創造出更有趣的火花。

Some of my friends ask me why I chose to be a teacher,the reason is quite simple. It is because of interest. A Chinese old sayinggoes, “Interest is the best teacher” so that why I chose the master degree in“Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language”.
During the study in Master, I had undergone aninternship as a Chinese teacher. It was rewarding and widened my horizon. Byobserving, preparing and teaching classes, I deeply understand how wonderful itis when I am being a teacher. It is a job full of responsibility but at thesame time brings achievement. At a time when I feel my students have a clearprogress and think independently than before, I couldn’t be more satisfied. Ialways consider that education is a long-term process, knowing the knowledge isjust a short-term goal. As a teacher, I prefer to be a conductor, to cultivatethe ability of independent thinking and active learning.
Hong Kong is sucha unique place with the mixture of eastern and western culture and thiscan be applied to the field of education. I really look forward to creating andbringing more special insights throughthis approach.
I am glad to join Han Academy, and I hope I could grow and learn with it.
