Mr. O’Brien teaches science at Han Academy. He holds a First-Class Master of Chemistry from the University of Oxford, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate of Education from University College London. Prior to joining Han Academy, Mr. O’Brien taught at several leading English secondary schools.
Mr. O’Brien is passionate about ensuring his students develop a secure and thorough understanding of the content for which he am responsible for teaching. He has seen the potential when a class develops a vibrant and thriving learning environment. Students, regardless of their personal interest or ability, are empowered to make progress in their pursuit of excellence.
Mr. O’Brien’s vision for education is one where students progress through school and develop a real and complete understanding of the content. Even for students who do not find their passion in science, he believe that it’s through this educational experience that they can become knowledgeable leaders, develop resilience, and are better able to serve our society with a well-developed mind.
