Victoria Rialland

I am very excited to be joining the Han Academy family this  year as a teacher of Mathematics and English. This will be my sixth year teaching in Hong Kong, within a multilingual and multicultural environment.

I am originally from the United Kingdom and have since spent many years living in England, France, Russia and Australia. I moved to Hong Kong eight years ago. Since then I have been very busy, raising my three children, furthering my teaching aspirations, and nurturing my interests; food, travel, history, mathematics, science and anthropology.

I began my Bachelor of Arts (Modern Languages) degree at St. Andrews University in Scotland and graduated with Dual Honours from Bradford University in England. I have a Master of Commerce with distinction from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning from Charles Darwin University.

I believe that the personal and social skills children learn at school are just as important as the academic skills we teach. Cooperation, responsibility, kindness and self-awareness play an essential role in enabling a child to flourish academically and socially. My role is to guide my students through the learning process and foster a positive mindset where each and every child is able to reach their full potential.
